About Us

Established in 2009, The Planning Factor, llc (TPF) was formed as an independently owned and operated hospitality management company, offering solutions for  accommodation and event venue ownership groups and individuals planning events of all kind.  The owners, Dominic and Margaret Savage have extensive professional experience in the hospitality and construction industries having represented big brands and independent business owners.  Margaret’s love for planning began as a teenager while working for the Syberg Family, well known in the St. Louis, Missouri area for their popular restaurant and catering operations.  She went on to further her career in hospitality learning from great leaders like the Ornest Family, who owned the St. Louis Blues and Arena, along with others at the Muny, Canteen Corp., Hyatt, Hilton, The Lodge of Four Seasons at the Ozarks, Sheraton, Carlson, Candicci’s Catering, Weinhardt Party Rentals and IHG.   After his service as a decorated marine, Dominic excelled in his career providing technical expertise for Marburg Industries, Magnetic Arts Inc., and Monogramme Confections.  Upon joining the St. Louis Carpenters Union as a journeyman he lent his talents to several specialized construction and remodeling businesses in the St. Louis area, where his talent thrived.   This combined hands-on experience has instilled in them the intimate knowledge needed to succeed in the hospitality management business.  Today their proven business principals, along with a pioneering drive, equip them to conquer new challenges. They continue to build an exceptional company by adapting ahead of the curve, inspiring change and working to achieve success, in the field of hospitality, for their clients.
